I loved this story...another great English Classic. About a country doctor's daughter who becomes indispensible to the town's richest family and largest landholders. I loved this story...another great English Classic. About a country doctor's daughter who becomes indispensible to the town's richest family and largest landholders. And how she eventually steals the heart of one of their sons. She has to navigate her way around her stepsister's foolish betrothals, and their consequences and deal with a silly step mother whom she sees does not appreciate her or her father nearly as much as she originally let on. And not to mention the secrets she must keep. It's a great story.   hide
