Of these 4 plays, I like Alcestis the best. Unlike in Sophocles Philoctetes, the arrival of Heracles to set things right, was well done and seemed less of a deus ex machina. In Medea it was difficult to know who to sympathize with - Jason who without consulting his wife married another woman, or Medea who response to every trouble seems to be murder. My dog loved this book. He tore the cover off, and I told him: "You rip-a-dees-book, I touch-a-you-face!"Good comedy, euripides. Bad dog, you-rip-a-dees book.
