Well written and reasearch into the psychologoical and behaviorally aspects of driving. Didn't think Nash's equilibrium, Braess paradox, "tragedy of the commons, queing theory, and risk homeostatis could be so interesing.

For anyone who is interested in how merging works, why safety measures aren't so safe, the psychology of male drivers (ok, that part can never be explained). Loved this book.

I spend some 45 minutes in traffic on either end of every work day and I think a lot about the roads and those who share it with me. This book took me up to and well past everything I had come to understand, as well as demonstrating how often the conventional wisdom about problems and solutions are completely and utterly wrong.
