Great book. The first 130 pages or so dragged a bit for me but I'm glad I stuck it out. The story is much more interesting and powerful in getting Tolstoy's message across than the non-fiction commentaries he has placed in some parts.
Long, so very long. And while it's not a strong page-turner, the characters felt realistic and I enjoyed reading about historical events that affected the lives of millions of people.
