A great writer can make the reader look at the world around them by holding up a creative mirror. It's up to the reader to recognize themselves in the mirror. Nick Harkaway does that in this book. It is a beautiful & strange & witty & sometimes bizarre while at the same time funny trip and glad I finished the ride.
Amazing. Fearlessly written, funny, engaging and developed without feeling like it's trying to force “deep”. It was over way too soon. My favorite novel of the last three years.
Very well written. Funny, moving and enthralling. I found it started a little slow but it was worth keeping at it - the last hundred or so pages were awesome.
Wow! This book has everything; strong literary style, action, psycological wierdness, sci fi, fantasy, kung-fu, giant mutant bees, and ninjas. Probably one of my favorite love stories too.

Harkaway has a lurid imagination and is a wonderful narrator. I loved the story. Could have done without some of the more long-winded sections. Overall, well worth the time spent. hide
