more Boring. I gave up half way through. The book introduces a rookie US Border Patrol agent stationed on the US-Canadian border in Washington State. He is dyslexic and has various unusual personality quirks. I liked his standing in the rising sun flapping his arms to make a snow angel in otherwise melting frost. But while he seemed to have the knack of capturing illegal aliens and potential terrorists, I got fed up with his counting the species of bird that he saw each day, and with the various characters that populate the border area, whose story never seemed to advance at all.
