hhmmm...I don't like giving bad reviews to books...but I wasn't too thrilled with this one...bit boring and waaaaay too descriptive

The reader and writer in me loved the premise of the book. I found the information about the publishing world fascinating. The plot was engaging though slightly predictable. It was a good read.

Dishy insightful peek into the world of book publishing, specifically the life of one literary agent. Boss-from-hell (on the order of The Devil Wears Prada) so believable and empathy-evoking for one who has suffered the stress of such a boss. Engaging, well-written, funny. Very good Gen-X character rendition. Satisfying ending. A keeper.

Once hooked into the story line, it's hard to put down. However, took a while to engage my interest. Psychological thriller with characters not very lovable.
