Interesting approach to the novel trades the depth of a single plotline or protagonist for a collection of anecdotes from the War against the Zombies to give an overview of the worldwide scope of the conflict. Gives up some urgency in the process, but still a better approach than the collection of viewpoint characters more prevalent in modern mil-sf.

This book was written sort of like a documentary. A writer is traveling around gathering stories from people who survived the zombie war. It is a masterpiece as far as I'm concerned and the greatest Zombie book ever. This should be a movie!!
Fantastic read! Made me stop and think with everyday real world stuff. You know it's a good book when you can't shake it off for a while.
I'm basing this review on how much it made me think. I realize the zombie thing isn't real, but a worldwide pandemic isn't out of the realm. Excellent read!!! But, you must read the survival guide first to "get" it all.
Wow!!! Despite the far-off plausibility of the theme... this book has had me referencing it during the '08 debates and throughout the chaos of the faltering economy. maybe we really do need something as major as a Zombie epidemic to set the world's values and priorities back into order.
