Other than some great prose, this book was lifeless. I agree, that it portrayed the dichotomy between working versus stay-at-home mom, but there are so many BETTER books for this. Gross did a good job of showing how Mom's constantly belittle one another, and pour more guilt on themselves. Overall, I didn't enjoy this book.

I enjoyed this book. Slowed down in the middle but overall a good read.

Was OK, since I read it as a new mother myself and could relate to some of the narrative. Not much of a closure to the story though.

It was a fair portrayal of the life of a stay at home mom vs. a full-time working mom with realistic glimpses into the thoughts and feelings of each. I thought she was a little hard on the stay at home mom though - the working mom seemed more likeable.

Interesting portrayal of how hard it can be to become friends with someone when you are constantly making assumptions about the other's motives, actions, etc.

a very easy read... a little too colorless and uneventful
