It took me 4 months to eventually finish it...It's not bad at all, but something in the plot should be added...anyway when all the lies come together it improves:) Naval engineer Lars Svartman " buoilt his existence on distances instead of seeking closeness".

This book is totally mesmerising - it draws you in and completely envelopes you, despite the fact that I still can't put my finger on why that is. The subject and content is bleak. The title is entirely appropriate, paralleling the main character's profession (depth sounder) and the examination of the depths of his nature.
