The Gargoyle

Loved this book. Writing is so good I read parts aloud (where appropriate) to my kids saying- THIS is what your teacher is trying to get you to do when they ask for juicy, new descriptions. Amazing that this is a first novel.

Wasn't sure I could actually finish this book as the opening chapters were so graphic. The protaginist is horribly burned in a car accident and then undergoes treatment that was almost too much for me. Once the mysterious Marianne Engel enters the picture everything changes and I could focus on the mystery surrounding her. One of the most beautiful novels ive read

I added this to my list of favorites books. I loved the sub-stories that are woven throughout the book. The characters were strong. The main character is an arrogant alcoholic porn star that was burned in a car accident. I love seeing how his new life unfolds.

Very well written. The characters are remarkable and the story line keeps you wondering until the very last pages.

One of the best books ever, it takes you through a journey of a moving love story. This book proves that true love can last for centuries and can be rediscovered through time. It is one of the best books I have read although it is the first work of Andrew Davidson. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read an original non cliché love story.
