The Third Angel: A Novel

Interesting characters. Lots going on. And really made me think about who my third angels have been.

Love the depth of emotion and the intertwining characters (coincidences). I also appreciated that, unlike in Blackbird House, most of the questions were answered by the book's end. Now that I've finished this, I will miss the characters and the storyline.

Hoffman does it again.

I always like Alice Hoffman. This book was a little more difficult than here usual, I wanted to go back and read it a second time to see how everyone fit together (the book is three stories linked together through time).

I was really looking forward to reading this, yet was disappointed. The three interlocking stories seemed unrealistic; the characters were inconsistent, yet I still found it to be a bit of a page turner.

It was memorable, but I guess I didn't really see the point of the entire story... or maybe I just couldn't relate to the characters. It was also pretty slow for the first 2/3 of the book.

Exceptional writing, vivid characters, heartwrenching stories that ring true. A great read by a top notch writer.
