Nothing too surprising here, but Greenwald sums it up nicely and in an often entertaining way. It ends up that despite the carefully honed imagery, most Republican pols are anything but heroic military leaders and family men. Apparently, the uber-macho John Wayne was quite the draft dodger -- during WW2 no less!

Great overview of the GOP mythos. From John Wayne - who wouldn't serve but never saw an American conflict he didn't like - to modern day Chickenhawks, this book names names and gives a good perspective of the morons running our country and setting our policies.
