"I'm the captain of a ship. I am not the builder of a ship. So there are certain constraints, in terms of the ship's capabilities. I can't transform an old steamer into a nuclear submarine. I can't steer the thing faster than its capabilities. And most importantly, I don't control the weather or the oceans. On the other hand, given what the oceans are and what the weather is and what the constraints of the ship are, I can be a better or a worse captain. And my job is to be the best captain I can be."
