Barry takes this to the next level, as scientists begin to replace biological limbs and organs with machines that enhance our efficiencies and looks. This of course has negative consequences once the military becomes involved. Though the book is not Max's finest, the last chapter is very creepy and provides an eerie look into a possible future.
