Excellent Memoir from the author's childhood to adulthood. I didn't know much about Christian Science and still don't. Her dad was a 'practioner' but she didn't really know what that meant other than he prayed for people. There's so many unanswered questions for her at the end of the story, I feel for her. I couldn't put this book down; the paternal and maternal sides of the family were not Christian Scientists but were a different religion so it was facinating to see how the family interacted together.   hide

Wonderful book. Hits close to home for me, very emotional read. It takes courage to write about this topic and I commend the author for sharing her story with us and letting us into her journey (and journey out of CS).
