Interesting to see how someone with good intentions gets sidetracked when money/ego comes into play. Too bad...

I'm not sure I believe that Greg Mortensen was deliberately deceitful - I do believe that his dream of schools for girls grew much larger then he, an ordinary guy, could handle. I'm not sure I believe that Greg Mortensen was deliberately deceitful - I do believe that his dream of schools for girls grew much larger then he, an ordinary guy, could handle. In every field there are those who live for paperwork and those who just want to do the work. It seems that this outreach simply grew faster then he able to handle it. I still find myself admiring what he wanted to accomplist and for what he was able to pull together in a country which is horribly dangerous and a government which is manipulative and self-serving. (Oops - that's the definition of a lot of governments, huh?) Book was well-written.   hide
