There were several things Bell said in this book that I disagree with to some level or another - but I think that's kind of the point of this book, so it works out kind of nice.
Inspirational, realistic, practical. Loved it. Gives me a greater understanding why I will remain the hot headed non-Christian, christian in this world
Don't read this. Under any cost. Even if you're unfamiliar with the emergent church and want to know what it's about (which was my reason for reading), you're better off not knowing.
This is the best book I have read on Christianity in a long time. Bell opens the doors for everyone to come in and experience the goodness of God as he was revealed in Jesus. No one is excluded unless they want to be, and that is a whole lot closer to Jesus than the fundamentalist would like the outsiders to believe.
