This book was very interesting. Teaches a lot about the time (and writings) of Chaucer. Nothing new on the death of Chaucer, but explains a lot about what the world he lived in was like, why he was so free with his writings, and how his world drastically changed around the time of his death.

The theory of murder is wafer thin but none the less intriguing. Of most interest is the fresh look at the reign of Richard II and his usurpation by Henry Bolingbroke.Beautifully illustrated

Terry Jones shows his knowledge and skill in putting something like this together. The artwork is great too.
