Concrete Island: A Novel

if this happened to me in real life this is what i would say would have happened

As a Robinson Crusoe for the 21st century the metaphor is a little too extended, may have worked better as a short story.

The sense of tension this book builds is intoxicating. I didn't want it to end, I loved the feeling.

Again, I read this for a class, and again, I was the only one who was "meh" on this book. Man ends up on a concrete island and is unable to get off for various reasons. Are there really people preventing him from leaving, is he nuts, or does he need to be "master of his domain?"
