You really have to pay attention in this one, but it is well worth it. It tells the story of a love affair along with the beginnings of the scriptwriter's soap operas. The scriptwriter's stories start to get all mixed up as he gets crazier and crazier. It takes a lot of skill to write a story like this. The three main characters are very likable.

Equal bits reality and fantasy, a novel that refuses to prefer one form over the other. Purportedly auto-biographical, it can read for its own romping, galloping pleasure.

Fast-moving yet wistful, a novel that blends reality and fantasy without taking sides. Purportedly auto-biographical, it should be read for the sheer enjoyment of its outlandish episodes. Made into lively but mediocre Keanu Reeves movie, "Tune in Tomorrow."
