"Tom Friedman's Hot, Flat, and Crowded: Why We Need a Green Revolution--and How It Can Renew America takes a global look at what he sees as the two biggest challenges -- the international environmental crisis and America's loss of identity since 9/11. Friedman lays out where we stand now and shows us how the solutions to these two problems are inextricably linked and how we can redefine a...more

Challenges America to stop embracing the "green" fad and start living it for real. What kind of world do we want to leave our grandchildren and great-grandchildren? One still dependent of oil, coal and gas, headed for ecological disaster - rising sea levels, higher temperatures, mass extinction of species (we're already working on all of these) ... or Will we leave a more stable planet by...more

I hope I'm proven wrong but with...more

Very good book. Much more than a newly refined version of his 'The World is Flat.' I'm not done reading it yet and I'm enjoying it, one chapter at a time!

Preachy and repetitive, but generally good. Would not recommend it though, even though I agree with most all the points made.
