The Sunbird

one of the best books i ever read. have already read it more than 20 times in the last ten years after i purchased this one. and have enjoyed reading this book every time

Part two takes place 2000 years after part one...whoa!

Takes time to develop. The linking of past and present is amazingly done. Last part is very interesting. The other part that I really found amazing was the elephant hunt.Unlike other Wilbur Smith books, I found this a one time read only.

Two more African adventures, The Dark of the sun was actually made into a film but I think with a different title the book is far more enjoyable anyway

amazingly captivating, gripping and beautifully simple narration...its lyk smone jus opened a gateway to a world so imaginative yet so real n in many ways exquisite as well as horrifyingly cruel....fall in love wid wilbur smith

Great Story, however if you have read it, you'll understand why I was dissapointed in the ending as I missinterpreted the begining of the second half and became lost in the new world Smith created. I went back to it and understood it better. Great book however.
