Uggh! I guess I'm a glutton for punishment. I didn't like Twilight that much but I came back for seconds with her next installment in the saga. The action was interesting, but my gawd, all of the talky bits were too much. There was one bright spot reading this book - it gives me hope for my writing career. It was much better than Twilight but again Stephanie Meyer and her damn need to use huge words to describe the dumbest shit sometimes was like ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?!?!? but after you get past that you come to realize that this book was good
Agree with some that this book was a little slower than the first. Although, the author wrote about depression well. Wished Edward would have reentered the book sooner, but then there wouldn't have been much of a story. Think Bella is pretty fickle and don't relate to her very well.
Indulged myself because I was on holiday, and have been tempted (and guilty for feeling tempted) since I finished the first book! The Twilight Saga is more like dreaming than reading; if I were a psychologist I might be able to talk about the buttons this story pushes. It is not great writing, but there must be some talent involved to make me not care.
Since Twilight was such a disappointment New Moon was a a pleasant surprise because it was actually much better than I thought it would be. While Myer is not a very good writer in general the one area she does excel in is writing emotion (she also does this well in "The Host"). Since the plot of this book lends itself well to this, it is a much better read overall than Twilight is.

This author is CLEARLY only ever going to write for kids because she just keeps getting worse as she goes. The plots are horrible and I'm shocked that so many older people are reading this trash!! It's crap!
Your reading levels must all be dramatically low if you like this!
