Yes, I agree, love it or hate it, and I love it. I think it's a question of whether you can love a book while simultaneously wanting to scream at and shake the character, and for me, the answer is yes... as long as there's enough to relate to about the character that you can kind of see where he's coming from, even when he's thinking and doing the most overreactive, maddening things.
