Much of this book is an out and out roast of his French producer, Marie-Castille Mention-Schaar (whose name is curtly abbreviated to "MC" halfway through...if this woman was able to work after this book was published, it's a miracle). But his incredible specificity, the bearing of his soul through the film and subsequently on the page gives us such a fresh window into the world of independent filmmaking and, even better, into the mind of Mr. Grant himself.
