This was always my favorite of all the Xanth books, although they are all fantastic.

Great story with fascinating characters. I love the time-travel element and the glimpse at the history of Xanth. I think the sexism was a bit stronger in this book than usual, but if you're a Piers Anthony fan, you should be used to it.

one of the early books in the series. i loved it becouse at that time i didnt know what to expect from piers anthony, and have learned since that you never know what he will do.

The first Xanth Novel will always be my favorite, but the third one was good too.

Starts out slow but is getting better! I am reading this for a Child Lit class. This is a great book, but not one I would assign to my students or would let my young children read.
