an enjoyable read.  it can be a bit frustrating to live with the high suspense for over 1000 pages, but it is also nice to have something pushing you to finish.  i will say that i find late mailer a bit too sexually fixated. it's not that i find it offensive, it just gets to be a bit too much.

This is an old favourite, a departure from most Mailer tomes, its actually a THRILLING CIA WW2 double agent/espionage thriller. It was supposed to be first in a series but he never wrote the sequel, excellent book for those who like thriller and mysteries. Very very smart.

Slow going but I'm still just a few chapters in.
It's too early to review the book as the jury is still out.  It's a slow start and sometimes very hard to follow along but I'm still hoping it will get better...
