An Excellent compilition of Historic Quotes from people of all walks of life and all different eras.

This is probably the best book of quotes you'll ever find. Seldes seemingly has no bias in his choice of persons to quote. His choices span centuries, countries and cultures. The only drawback is that the quotes are arranged by source only and there is no category index.
