Blood and Gold (Rice, Anne, Vampire Chronicles.)

Loved it.

This book was very good. Much better than armands story by far.

Nice history of one of the ancient vampires, and a good reminder of some of the details already out there.

There is a feeling of...eternity in this book. It is a delight to read the story of Marius, and to understand the personality that was always eclipsed by something else on the past books. If I could relate, personally, to any character of the Vampire Chronicles, that would be Marius. Somehow, his personality reflects my personality. I was so delighted to read about Amadeo's sorrow on the eyes of Marius. As well as Pandora's grief and Bianca's devotion. And to realize that the character that I always thought to be strong had his moments of weakness was the best thing of the whole book.   hide
