The book I wish I had written, this is kind of like "America: The Book", but focusing on our nation's history rather than its political institutions. I received this as a Christmas present when I was 12 or something and thought it was amazing the first time I read it. The history of America, told Dave Barry style. It will keep you in stitches until the very end, and you may or may not learn anything factual here. One of the greatest humorists of our times, this is one of my favorites he's written so far.

Reading this book is much better than doing ab crunches. You'll come out looking like Bruce Lee with so much laughing. Quite goofy fun but then again, aren't we all goofy. The book itself is a parody of American (as in USA) history and a bit of global stuff added in.
