The Vampire Lestat: Ballentine Books Edition (Vampire Chronicles)

Loved it.

Lestat is a very colorful character with a rich storyline. I think it is the best of the vampire series Anne Rice wrote.

My first jaunt with vampires. I never read Bram Stoker's Dracula so this was my intro to the world of dark, damned and lovely. I loved this book even if I could not love Lestat. But I think that may have been the point. He was arrogant and skilled and had no humanity but he was a victim too. I really got into Anne Rice with this book.
