It is a quick read, because it was written for teens, and something you can knock out within an afternoon. It is a standalone story which is a nice reprieve from the extravagant interconnections of the rest of the vampire books. This one is different from other vampire novels in a couple of ways. First, Vittorio does not turn into a vampire until almost the end of the book. Also, to me it was more uplifting at the end than some of the others. It's pretty good. I recommend it.
