Was a great cross over between the vampires and witches all inter woven in all her Vampire Chronicles novels. Loved it.

Strange, and has very little to do with the main flow of the series. I think anyway.

I was very excited to read this book, and I wasn't disappointed! This is Anne Rice's first novel which merges both her witch chronicles and her vampire chronicles books. Overall, I would say that this is mostly a vampire chronicles book, because the plot itself is only concerned with vampire mythoology. I was very excited to read this book, and I wasn't disappointed! This is Anne Rice's first novel which merges both her witch chronicles and her vampire chronicles books. Overall, I would say that this is mostly a vampire chronicles book, because the plot itself is only concerned with vampire mythoology. However, there are several references to the mayfair universe, which is great. Best of all (for me), Louis makes a comeback as a main character in this book. He's probably my favorite character, so it's nice that he came back in a big way. Merrick ended in a sort of a cliffhanger, leaving you wanting more. A must read if you love either the Mayfairs or the Vampires.   hide
