i love all the merry books, this was a favorite of mine though.I love anything laurell writes i only have to see her name and i buy it, i have yet to be disappointed

Continuing the wonderful story of the first novel this sequel doesn't disapoint as the magic and sensuality continue and the plot grows more interesting.

This is the second in the Merry Gentry series and I am happy to report that it is an improvement on the first book. Having established much of the faerie "universe" in the first book Hamilton has more time to spend on plot and character development in this book. This is the second in the Merry Gentry series and I am happy to report that it is an improvement on the first book. Having established much of the faerie "universe" in the first book Hamilton has more time to spend on plot and character development in this book. In my opinion the sex vs plot balance could still go a bit more towards plot and the book would be even better. That being said the sex doesn't overpower the rest of the story as it has done in some of Hamiltons other books. All in all I found this enjoyable and it has given me hope for the rest of the series. If you're looking for something to read inbetween Anita releases then this series is worth a look.   hide
