I really didn't like this book. It seems to me that the author thinks he's really funny or clever, but in my opinion, he is neither. It's really just a collection of articles from his column which is published in the Miami Herald and many other newspapers. None of what I read was anywhere near "Pulitzer Prize" winning content, but apparently he was awarded one at some point...more

This book is frickin hilarious!  Dave Barry is a prophet!  This is a great book to keep in a backpack and pull it out when you have 5 spare minutes, as it's a collection of his columns.  I tried to sneak reading this at work once, but had to stop because I blew my cover laughing.

I've always said it, and I'll say it again.  I could have had the worst day in the history of worst days and be sinking into the depths of depression... 5 minutes with a Dave Barry book and I'll be laughing my face off.  BRILLIANT comedic writer!!  Every once in a while one of his articles will border on inappropriate, but for the most part you're okay.  Absolutely hilarious.
