Not quite as behind the scenes as you'd hope to find.

This is actually very funny!

You ought to have both read the book "Cider House Rules" and seen the movie in order to be able to relate to this one. It's basically his diary of the time when whe was writing the screenplay for C H Rules, and it's not the most riveting read, I'm afraid. I had to force myself to finish it, although I am a big fan of John Irving.

As a huge Irving fan who could not wait for the movie The Cider House Rules to come out, I found this account of John's writing of the screenplay for the movie fascinating. very interesting. explains why Cider House Rules the movie sucked so bad, even though he wrote the screenplay and won an oscar for it.
