As a person very interested in linguistics and philology myself I really enjoyed and could partly relate to the description of Champollion in the book. But as a book I found it very confusing. Not the actual jumping in space and time, but more how it was done and that he never really told us facts or introduced persons he would barely return to later. Not the actual jumping in space and time, but more how it was done and that he never really told us facts or introduced persons he would barely return to later. I can imagine, and hope, there is a better book out there for people interested in this subject. Else, this one will do.
