fave book of all time...beautifully written

I liked this story a lot....very sad at times but still well written....

As in most of Linda Howard's novels this book has a great plot with pages of hold-your-breath excitement. However, in keeping with Howard's writing, the sex scenes are often ill placed and just plain bad. For example the lead male, still panting from his near death experience of falling over a waterfall said, and I quote, "I'd give my left nut to be inside of you."...more

As in most of Linda Howard's novels this book has a great plot with pages of hold-your-breath excitement. However, in keeping with Howard's writing, the sex scenes are often ill placed and just plain bad. For example the lead male, still panting from his near death experience of falling over a waterfall said, and I quote, "I'd give my left nut to be inside of you." Seriously! Too, the book gets bogged down by pages of the leading lady's feelings and woe-ez-me pity parties. I enjoy most of Linda Howard's novels despite these flaws that appear to be in all of her work and will continue picking them up. But this book will most likely fall into forgetfulness along with the other 3 star novels.   hide

It's ok. A little soft in the end.

Linda Howard is my aunt and this book it also dedicated to my oldest son, Gage. I loves this book, but it also scared me to death (what if this happened to my son)! It's one of her best!

the title really tells you what to expect. i bawled my eyes out..the best book i have ever read that i cried so much. it was so sad but so good. gail its a must read

I read this book for the first time right after I had my son. Although you know this book is fiction, the feelings it provokes (especially to me being a new mother) is intense. What would I do if my son was kidnapped? How long would I look? How long could I fight to believe I could still find him? This book made me want to stop breathing from the heartache it invoked. I read this book in one seating through bleary eyes and tissue after tissue. I have never had a book reach me/touch me this passionately   hide

This book is great for mothers. A really most touching stories I've ever read. Its about a mother's love,and heartbreak,about searching,about healing and about letting go even when your heart is breaking. I read it so many time that i lost count. Everytime i finish the book, i will cry again and again.. so touching.

absolutly an awsome book. Best book ever. I laughed i cried, I didn't put it down till it was finished.
