Best sci fi I've read in a looong time. And the author has balls; who dears writing a book with martian in it in the 21st century?

good, fast paced, first person, Techno detective novel

Sequel to Altered Carbon. Not quite as compelling as Morgan's first entry but Takeshi Kovacs, the protagonist, is one of those characters, a la John D. McDonald's Travis McGee, that I'll enjoy following for years and years. I'm looking forward to reading the third in the series when it's out in paperback.
