I've seen this book amongst the Thomas Convenant series by this author, and decided to read it upon the recommendation of my brother. It's enjoyable enough, and fairly creative. The fantasy world seems less developed than the TC series. If you like these kinds of fantasy stories, you would like this book. I'm going to read the next book in the series.
A woman, whose life is revolving around mirrors, finds herself persuaded to join a man and travel through the mirrors to a parallel world. The mirrors are gateways. War, love, longing - and an underlying sadness in our heroine.
It's Stephen R. Donaldson for goodness sake. I blame him (and Tolkein) for my love of the Fantasy genre.
If you have never read his books, I highly recommend them.
