Excellent historical fiction account of the less often covered campaigns in the Mediterranean. Has the right amount of historical accuracy mixed with building excitement and tension. I love almost anything this author puts out!

"The Rising Tide" is a novel of the Second World War, set primarily in North Africa and Sicily. Jeff Shaara continues writing in the style that he borrowed from his father, and it works splendidly as always. Even a stranger to the Shaara books will undoubtedly enjoy this one. Shaara manages to inform and entertain at the same time.

The complete historical...more

This is good stuff. I'll read any Shaara novel, but I'm always fascinated by WWII stuff. Continues his trend started in To The Last Man of talking about the little guy as well as the commanders. A++++++
