This one collects a Conan novella (thats a little light on Conan but good enough), Howard's only Conan Novel (which does a good job of both being epic in expanding the story, and in being able to still feel like a Conan story.) and a final shorter story which while more then a little predictable, was a damn good yarn. Conan rocks. Forget Ahnold and his movie; this is the what the barbarian is all about. Any sword and sorcery fans can thank Howard for practically starting the genre.

connan has tons of philosophy packed into it's bloody and cliche pages. 3 stories. all novellete length. not bad. if you've ever read any connan stories you'll know what to expect. in fact, the second story is a rewrite, basically, of an earlier story. still, i had fun.

The Conan stories as written by Robert E. Howard create a fascinating character and world. Conan is both smart and tough. This isn't Arnold's Conan.
