Loved this book. Joe Pitt is a rough main character but is realistic enough to be perfect!

An excellent introduction to a very fast-paced modern-noir series that pretty much reinvents both the detective and the vampire genres. A great series that has amazing re-readability.

This usually means odd jobs that nobody else will touch and playing all the clans against each other to get what he wants. If you want to read one of the most original vampire tales out there check out this series. Others include: No Dominion, Half the Blood in Brooklyn, Every Last Drop, and My Dead Body. All of them get five stars. All of them should be read and in order but it's not that necessary as he is constantly recounting things in previous books but without overbearing the current story with it.   hide
