This was an okay addition to the series. It was not one of my favorites but it did give you a little more details to what Merry is forming into and her men. I kind of feel like this was just a quick filler book. One to just get out there so it makes me a little disappointed. We get to see Ryse get more power and how power hungry some of the other men are. Galen is still a sweet heart which I loved. It was also cute to see how the men treated Merry because she is pregnant. I hope though that the next one has more fiber to it and speeds up the story line. I really enjoy this series. It is different from what I usually read. Hamilton really loves to have dozens of men for one lady in her books!   hide
