good summer read!

It's an interesting concept, I guess.

Good message, inspirational, but kind of a struggle to read...it just doesn't flow. This is the true account of thirteen women who (together) purchase and share a diamond necklace...it becomes much more than an object, but intertwines their lives and shows the true meaning of sharing and compassion.

Cool concept - especially since it is a true story, not a great book.

Not a bad story with a good message overall. I would have enjoyed more personal anecdotes, I think.

I loved the concept of the original social experiment, and would have enjoyed a more complex story on that topic. Maybe fiction would be better than fact, or maybe the facts could have been more interestingly told. TIP: read the first few pages, then contemplate the premise instead of reading this book.

Not the best book i've ever read. Sounded like it was going to be great but didn't live up to it's expectations. Boring in parts and I couldn't stand the main character (see, i've already forgotten her name) - she seemed like a control freak! Wouldn't recommend it to any members of my sisterhood. not very interesting - in fact, more than a little disappointing

I thoroughly enjoyed this true story of 13 women who shared ownership of a beautiful necklace. Book explores how this diverse group of women (who didn't know every one in the group initially) decided to "buy in" to this idea of a shared item. Each woman gained something very special unrelated to the material possession. This was a nice quick read that you makes you smile...more
