Rinzler and Bouzereau continue their fantastic documentation of Lucasfilms. As was their intention, the focus is on Raiders, but all Indiana Jones feature installments are covered. Crystal Skull gets the least coverage as the movie was being completed concurrent to the book, but even that has a lot of information about the pre-production and shooting. Reading this book and watching the 2004 DVD documentaries (and the 2008 CS one) really satisfies any fans' or scholars' quest for Indiana Jones background. 1/2 a star lost because it can't be definitive till Crystal Skull gets complete coverage.   hide

good book it tells alot on what they did to make these movies

I thought I'd heard it all when it came to the gestation of the character and movies, but I was wrong. I'm only about 20 pages in, and I can't put it down. I feel like I'm in the room with Lucas, Kasdan and Spielberg as they bash it all together.
