Good standalone Star Wars novel that yet ties in very well with other literature and even the video games (Jaden Korr is the main character from the Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy game). Good characterization of this character who had been very ill defined up to this point due to the open nature of the game he originated in. I really liked this book a lot. If you're a Star Wars fan who has some time to kill this is a great standalone book. It's very fast paced after the first chapter, and doesn't require any knowledge about the Star Wars Universe other than it exists, there's this thing called the Force, and lightsabers are cool. You're not going to learn anything about yourself or mankind from this book, but you...more

This was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't sure what to expect when I figured out what the plot line was going to be, but I found I enjoyed it, despite how plausible it may or may not be. (I mean, this IS Star Wars, right). Quite an interesting cast of characters in this one and crazy adventures. This was a great SW novel. Mr. Kemp has made a huge first impression on me in writing this novel. Not only is the story interesting and highly engaging (I couldn't put down the book within the last 100 pages), but he did it without using a single character from any of the movies and you end up genuinely caring for everyone of these new characters by the end of the novel.
