Official Book Club Selection: A Memoir According to

Kathy Griffin did a terrific job writing a memoir of her life. A very funny lady wanting to people to take a look at very serious matters in her life. A refreshing view point of a person's own life. I am glad she lets her fans in to her world while still keeping it light.

Kathy Griffin is hilarious! I had a hard time putting this book down.

Rick and I took turns reading this book. That is, when one puts down the book, the other one grabs it! All fascinating stuff from the ever honest Miz Griffin.

if u like kathy's life on the d list show-u will really enjoy this book-also if you like hollywood gossip. she doesn't take herself seriously and her backstory and struggle to fame is interesting to say the least. her emails back and forth with Steve wozniac towards the end were a bit repetitive and boring but overall light/funny reading.

I saw this book at Target and thought the cover was funny, so it became one of the first books that I purchased on my Kindle. For some reason, I could only read a few pages at a time before I set it down and did something else...until I randomly met Kathy Griffin at the Grove in Los Angeles. She was HILARIOUS in person and so I was determined to finish her book! She even spoke to my friend, James on the phone (he absolutely loves her). It is very clear that she wrote the book because her personality shines through each page. Her struggles toward fame and respect in the entertainment industry are fun to read and I admire her greatly for her persistence. I enjoyed the book so much that I look forward to watching every single episode of her reality show.   hide

Explains some of the inside jokes on the D List that you may have missed if you haven't been watching it from the first season. I really liked her style of writing/story-telling. It felt like she was actually having a personal conversation with you!

I was kinda disappointed. Yes, you get to know a little bit of a more serious side of her, but she really glosses over a lot of stuff in her life and her career. I remember a lot of stuff that happened on My Life on the D-List, none of which she mentioned. She doesn't talk about Jessica's departure.
