it was free...so what can i complain about. it kept me busy while doing laundry. i do argree with another reviewer...the story sounded really good but it was just pages and pages of sex. its gets old.

When I first started to read this book I thought, "Yes, this is good." I liked the concept, and I liked the way the author used the language. The book had me chuckling too, and I wondered what all the bad reviews were about. Then, something happened. Once the main characters got together, the story vanished, and it was all about sex. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against some well written sex scenes in a book, but when you read dozens of pages and nothing happens except orgasms, it gets boring quickly, no matter how intriguing the characters could have been. I'm a sucker for the story. I want to see what happens. If a book has an interesting storyline I'll read it from cover to cover, but after the vampire had appeared in the witch's apartment for the n-th time and they'd made crazy love all night, I couldn't even remember what the book was about. I was yawning and browsing through the pages, trying to find something that would move the story forward. Nothing showed up, so I got bored with it and couldn't even finish it. It seemed promising at first, but sadly, the storyline disappeared somewhere in the bedsheets.   hide

I got this for free on my Kindle, otherwise I probably wouldn't have looked twice. Silhouette Smut is literally priceless. A vampire novel with so-so dialogue. It did provide a nice mental break from studying.

Ravin is a witch and a vampire slayer, Nikolaus is the leader of the tribe Kila. Ravin kills Nikolaus, kind of... he survives because he is a Phoenix, it explains it on the story on how he survives. Everyone thinks he is dead but he comes out after 2 months of hiding and decides to go kill the witch. He is now immune to her blood (poisonous to all vamps) since he survived her attack. He gets into her apartment and spills one of her love potions. Then the story begins... of course the potion works and he falls in love with her, she still hates him but decides to give having some fun with him a try. The romance was good and the love scenes were very steamy. Liked the ending, happily ever after of course ;)   hide
